Dear Heron Children and Families
I hope that you are all well and continuing to stay positive whilst the situation around Covid19 continues to dominate our lives. Thank you to all the children who have tweeted showing their determination and resilience during these strange times. The staff are loving seeing all the fabulous things you are doing.
I hope you have a lovely (though very different) Easter holiday and are able to recharge your batteries ready for our new learning platform after the holiday.
Free School Meals
We have sent out vouchers to those families whose children are entitled to Free School Meals today (01.04.20) and are keeping in touch with families via ParentMail about these. Families whose children receive Universal Infant Free School meals in years R-2 are not entitled to receive support. We would of course let you know if this changes. If at any stage you feel that your circumstances have changed, please apply for Free School Meals using the portal which can be found here: https://www.heronprimaryschool.co.uk/about-2-2-2/governors-2-4
We will hopefully see you soon but in the meantime be good, stay well and do your best.

We hope that our school website provides you with a taste of what our school is like and all the information that you need. If you haven’t visited the school and would like to do so, please contact the office to book a time when you can see the school in action.
At Heron School we strive to ensure that every child receives the best education possible in a secure, caring, friendly and stimulating learning environment. One of the most important factors that enable a child to reach their full potential is the relationship that is developed between home and school. With your support and cooperation, in partnership, we can ensure that your child achieves their best academically, whilst ensuring that they are well prepared with skills for life.
All of the staff at Heron Primary School are fully committed to ensuring that your child’s primary school experience is one where they are happy, enthused by learning and where they feel valued in our school community.
Mrs Claire Brookes, Head Teacher
